ProCube Designer -- Software development process modelling

Functionalities

ProCube Designer provides the Quality & Method Engineer with a set of functions used to define, organise and publish a development process repository (UP process, Agile, or organisation-specific).

Graphic modelling through diagrams
Structured view of process organisation
Breakdown and assembly of processes through a "Component-based" approach
Persistence in a process repository
Linking of external documents (guides, templates, ...) to process elements
Generation of a description document for processes and components (supported formats: RTF and HTML)
Consolidation of processes through feedback and further developments carried out on projects

About the modelling activity, ProCube Designer is based on the SPEM metamodel defined by the OMG group. The SPEM metamodel includes the model elements linked with the software process domain.

Graphic interface

ProCube Designer provides a set of views to visualise and control the modelling of the software process, and to display all information users need to work with.

Explorer view to organise and structure the process model
Diagram Editor view to allow a graphical modelling of the process
Repository view to share model elements between several processes
Audit view to control the process model integrity (validity rules)
Documentation view to describe the model element (definition or explanation)
